The Degree Programme aims to provide the cultural and methodological bases required for studying the mechanisms at molecular, cellular, tissue and systemic level governing physiological and pathological processes and for developing new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
The specific training objectives are due to the need to train graduates with an advanced and practical background in the biomedical sciences characterised by an in-depth knowledge of methodologies, analytical tools, data acquisition and processing techniques. Such a vision appears to be crucial in order to carry out activities of promotion and development of scientific and technological innovation, with specific skills. It is also crucial to manage and design technologies in the fields of biomedical sciences, industry, public and private health, in scientific research institutions and foundations in order to be able to interpret, describe and solve complex biological problems, also through interdisciplinary approaches.

Student mobility registered a substantial increase in the three years from 2016 to 2018. More specifically, outgoing Erasmus students for study increased by 64% and outgoing students for placement grew by 35%. Incoming Erasmus students rose instead by 20%.
